However, if you don't clear the notification prompt, the dashcam will refuse to continue recording as you resume driving.

To avoid this issue, you should install the dashcam somewhere you can see its display to clear the alerts as needed.

It's also worth noting that the Rove doesn't play well with dashcam batteries - if the battery dies while parked, you'll need to manually turn the dashcam back on when you restart your car.
