Event Description

The Dash-for-DASH 5K is a fun community event that takes place on Saturday, June 23rd at the Metropolitan Branch Trail in DC.

You'll be running on a USATF-certified flat course that begins in the parking lot at the Rhode Island Avenue Shopping Center.

The course is out and back, heading South at the start, with the first turnaround at M Street, NE (NoMa Metro Station).

The second and final turnaround is at Franklin Street, NE (under the bridge) and back to the finish line in the parking lot.

Registration includes a run on the certified course, a bib with a timing chip, a race t-shirt, and refreshments at the finish line.

You can pick up your race packet early on Thursday, June 21st from 5-7PM at the Red Derby.

Free parking is available in the Rhode Island Ave Shopping Center parking lot.

The Dash-for-DASH 5K supports the safe housing mission and programs of the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH), the largest dedicated safe housing provider for survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Washington, DC.
